Tulips are sourced from Cool Hollow Flower Farm in MD and Small Ventures Flower Farm in WV. Available for pick up at the Merc starting Friday 2/9.

We are so excited about having local cut flowers for Valentine's Day for a second year in a row -- a reality only made possible by the collaboration happening between woman-owned flower farms in our region. Thanks to their dedication to sustainable farming practices and combining efforts, our community has bunches of special flowers to gift their loved ones on V-Day – that don't leave behind a giant carbon footprint! Unlike roses.

Each bouquet contains a variety of fresh cut forced* winter Tulips, Pussy Willow, + Eucalyptus from Cool Hollow Flower Farm in MD and Small Ventures Flower Farm in WV. We're also using some of Meredith's own Eucalyptus that she grows in her greenhouse! Shout outs to Laura, Claire, Becca, Corey, and Meredith! 💪

*To force a Tulip means to pot the Tulip bulb, replicate winter conditions and bring into bloom earlier than its normal spring bloom time. These tulips were planted in a series of crates around Thanksgiving and maintained in cool, dimly lit environments over the past couple months – now they're right on time for us to enjoy! 🌷🌷🌷
